Signing in
#How do I sign in?
Tiny Toes asks you to sign in the first time you open it, so your logs are kept safe in your account and can sync with your partner. Choose one:
- Sign in with Apple. One tap with Face ID or Touch ID.
- Continue with email. Enter your email address and we’ll email you a 6-digit code. There’s no password.
Use the same method each time. If you signed in with Apple and chose Hide My Email, your Tiny Toes account uses Apple’s private relay address, so signing in with a code sent to your real address creates a different, empty account.
I didn’t get my sign-in code
- Check your spam or junk folder. Codes come from no-reply@verificationemail.com (Amazon’s sign-in service, which Tiny Toes uses) with the subject “Your Tiny Toes sign-in code”. Marking it as “not spam” helps next time.
- It can take a minute or two to arrive.
- Check the email address for typos. Tap Change email to fix it.
- Tap Resend code (available after 30 seconds) and use the newest code. A code is valid for an hour.
- If the app says to try again later (for example after several codes or wrong codes in a row), wait before trying again: usually up to an hour, but after several codes in one day, until the next day. Or use Sign in with Apple instead.
- If the app says email sign-in is busy right now, try again later or use Sign in with Apple.
Why was I signed out?
For security, a sign-in lasts up to 30 days. When it runs out, Tiny Toes asks you to sign in again; everything you logged is still in your account and on your phone. Sign in with the same account to keep any changes that hadn’t synced yet.
Sharing with your partner
#How do I share Tiny Toes with my partner?
- In Tiny Toes, go to Settings and, under Family, tap Invite partner.
- Optionally enter your partner’s email, then tap Create code and Share to send them the 6-character code.
- Your partner installs Tiny Toes, signs in, goes to Settings and taps Join a family, then enters the code.
A code works once and expires after 7 days. A family can have up to 6 people. Everyone in it sees and logs for the same babies, sees each other’s name and email address, and changes sync to everyone’s phones automatically.
When your partner joins, the babies and entries already on their account are added to your family. If they only have the empty “Baby 1” Tiny Toes made for them, it’s removed.
Does my partner need their own subscription?
Tiny Toes Premium belongs to the Apple Account that bought it. If your partner uses a different Apple Account, they need their own subscription (or free trial) to log new entries. Without one they can still see, edit and delete everything the family has already logged.
How do I leave a family?
Go to Settings and, under Family, tap Leave family. You keep a copy of everything logged so far, and new entries are no longer shared with that family.
My partner’s entries aren’t showing up
- Make sure you’re both in the same family: Settings lists the family members.
- Tiny Toes syncs when it opens, a couple of seconds after each change and every minute while open. Pull down on Today to sync now, or tap Sync now in Settings.
- Changes made offline sync once the phone is back online.
How do I add twins or another baby?
Go to Settings, then Add baby under Babies. Tap a baby to set their name, date of birth and sex. Switch between babies at the top of Today. Pumping and wasted milk are shared across all babies.
Subscriptions
#What does Tiny Toes Premium cost?
Monthly is US$4.99 a month (A$4.99 in Australia) and yearly is US$49.99 a year (A$49.99 in Australia), each with a 14-day free trial for eligible new subscribers. The App Store shows the price in your country before you buy. Logging new entries needs Premium; without it you can still see, edit and delete everything you’ve already logged. See the subscription terms.
How do I restore my purchase on a new phone?
Sign in to the iPhone with the same Apple Account you subscribed with, then in Tiny Toes go to Settings and tap Restore purchases (it’s also on the subscription screen). Premium follows your Apple Account, not your Tiny Toes account.
How do I cancel?
In Tiny Toes, go to Settings and tap Manage subscription. Or on your iPhone open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Tiny Toes. Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial or current period ends to avoid being charged again. You keep Premium until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
Deleting your Tiny Toes account doesn’t cancel your subscription.
How do I get a refund?
Apple handles all payments and refunds, so we can’t issue them ourselves. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Your account and data
#How do I delete my account?
In Tiny Toes, go to Settings, tap Delete account and confirm. This permanently deletes your Tiny Toes account and removes Tiny Toes data from your phone. Your babies and entries are deleted from our servers too, unless someone else is still in your family, in which case they stay with them. If you signed in with Apple, Tiny Toes’ Sign in with Apple access is revoked.
It can’t be undone, and it doesn’t cancel an App Store subscription: cancel that separately. If you can’t open the app, email us from the address on your account. More detail is in the Privacy Policy.
What happens when I sign out?
Tiny Toes syncs one last time, then removes its data from your phone. It keeps only your email address, to fill in the sign-in screen next time. Everything stays in your account and comes back when you sign in again. If some changes couldn’t sync (for example because you’re offline), the app warns you before signing out, because those changes would be lost.
Can I change units or use dark mode?
Yes. In Settings, choose ml / kg or oz / lb under Units, and System, Light or Dark under Appearance.
Feeding guidance
#Where does the feeding guidance come from?
From health authorities and paediatric bodies for seven locations: Australia (NHMRC Infant Feeding Guidelines), New Zealand (Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora), the United Kingdom (NHS), Ireland (HSE), the United States (AAP and CDC), Canada (Public Health Agency of Canada and Health Canada) and International (World Health Organization). Each location in the app shows its source and when it was last updated.
Tiny Toes picks the location from your phone’s region. Change it in Settings under Feeding guidance, or switch Show feeding guidance off to hide it.
Is the guidance medical advice?
No. It is general information from health authorities and paediatric bodies, not medical advice. Where the guidance gives formula amounts by body weight, the daily formula guide on Today is worked out from your baby’s age and latest weigh-in, so it is only as current as your last weigh-in. For the United States, the AAP gives no age range for its amount, so the age range Tiny Toes uses is our estimate (the app says so). Every baby is different; talk to your doctor, midwife, child health nurse or health visitor about your baby, and always follow their advice. If you’re worried about your baby, contact them, and in an emergency call your local emergency number.
